Pretty Pleasures

As we move into March and toward an end to the lockdowns in the UK, fingers crossed! This months Glossybox is all about thinking about the warmer days pastel colours and generally feeling the pretty pleasures of spring!

There are 5 products this month and a makeup heavy box this time which I am pleased about. So let’s dive in and see what we have.

Figs and Rouge Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix is our first item. I love a good primer and having used Figs and Rouge products before I have high hopes for this! This costs £38 to purchase and contains hyaluronic acid, marshmallow root and as the name describes it aims to blur imperfections and minimise shine for a perfect make up base. It also has anti inflammatory properties to reduce breakouts. I love the Figs and Rouge packaging it is so pretty and very millennial pink.

Figs and Rouge Satin Soft Blurring Primer & Finishing Fix £38

Nails Inc is our next treat with a nail polish called Palace Gardens, a really pretty pastel blue grey . Nails Inc has long been one of my favourite brands for nail polish and this one is no exception. Really love the colour and this is one I can see getting a lot of wear out of. This is £11 to purchase.

Nails Inc Palace Gardens £11

Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing Mascara is next and this is not a brand I’ve used before. This has conditioning ingredients like Camellia and Almond Oil to strengthen your lashes. The brush is oversized and designed to grip and coat every lash. I’m coming to the end of my mascara so this was a welcome addition !

Beautaniq Beauty Nourishing Mascara £15.50

The So Eco sponge I actually got in a Lookfantastic box previously but I like to change my sponges regularly so this is a nice addition to the box. They are a really nice sponge and I find they blend really well. Make sure to use your sponge damp so it doesn’t soak up all of your product! These sponges also have a pointed tip, this is great for under your eyes and blending concealer. The best thing about the So Eco brand is they plant a tree for every 100 products sold which is really important to know that they are considering the environment around them.

So Eco complexion sponge

NYX Professional Makeup is one of my faves and this item is different for each subscriber. There was a lucky dip between highlighter, liquid lipstick and regular lipstick. I am so pleased with mine! Mine was a gorgeous hot pink liquid lip so pretty and definitely one I might have chosen myself. I really love NYX lip products so this was a really good choice for me.

NYX Professional soft matte metallic lip creme £6

Next month we have a sneak peek announcement of an eyeshadow palette from a new brand Sophia and Mabelle. No details on colour or anything just yet. Their website details them as a very inclusive brand which is really great to hear. A quote on their website reads

With all skin tones and age ranges in mind, we created this beauty brand where anyone can come and find something that will be a staple in their beauty routine. S+M welcomes all walks of life, because beauty should reflect who you are on the inside, not the outside. We are proud to sample our products on persons of all ages, genders, sexualities, and will continue to strive at being an all-inclusive “made for everyBODY” beauty brand.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the eyeshadow palette is next month!

I have a yearly subscription to Glossybox which costs 11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are loads of different options if you wanted to sign up from a monthly rolling subscription to 3, 6 and 12 month plans like the one I do. I do have a referral code if you click here which will get you 20% off your first box.

The Best of ASOS September Face and Beauty Box

This month ASOS has brought together the best selling beauty items from their site for the September Beauty Box. There are 5 items which are all a sample / mini size and a mix of skincare and makeup including a new mascara from Nars. So let’s dive in and unbox!

The ASOS Best of Face and Beauty Box £12

First up is a Glamglow Supermud Mask which is one of the cult products from the brand. The Supermud mask is aimed at helping damaged, acne prone or pigmented skin areas. I’m hoping this will help me as I’ve been suffering with a bit of the dreaded “maskne” also known as blemishes due to our new normal of wearing masks day to day.

Glamglow Supermud Mask

Next is a new product to me, Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm to melt away your makeup and I have to say this smells amazing! It’s got essential oils, orange and rose are listed but I mainly get the orange notes coming through. It’s a really nice texture and melts into the skin. Lovely to use at the end of the day and really enjoy the fragrance.

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

Also included is a Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator. I’ve used this before and I really love this for the winter months as it’s so hydrating. Personally I like to use as a night cream to really soothe and hydrate overnight.

Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator

Laura Merciers Translucent setting powder is a cult product and not only keeps your makeup in place and reduces shine it also doesn’t flashback in photos, always a plus!

Laura Merciers Translucent setting powder

Finally a sample size of the new NARS Climax Mascara, which is all about creating lashes with volume and fullness. This is really nice and I would definitely be interested to try the full size when it’s released.

NARS Climax Mascara

This months box was £12 and even though it was a sample size product list I still feel it was great value. It’s a really fab mix of products and I am pleased with the variety this month. As always ASOS always includes brands which are available via their website The NARS Mascara is coming soon!

Would love to hear your views on this box and whether you use any of these products, pop a comment below or head over to my Instagram @vanessakay84 to join in the chat 💜

Lookfantastic Birthday Box September 2020

Lookfantastic are celebrating 6 years in business so this box had a birthday theme to the packaging which is really cute. There are 6 items this month and a little extra item.

Septembers Lookfantastic box £15 inc postage and packing

First is an Illamasqua mini highlighter, this is a really pretty champagne colour and gives nice buildable shimmer. They gave some application tips including applying with a wet brush for a more dramatic look or just using a regular brush dry for more subtle look.

Mini OMG Highlighter £10

Next is Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This was our sneek peek last month and is one of the stand out products from Elemis that everyone raves about. Personally I find this really rich to use as a day cream, I prefer to use it at night. It’s a really nice texture and a little goes a long way. £30 for 15 ml

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream £30 for 15ml

I love a good lip pencil and this Diego Dalla Palma one is a lovely shade called antique rose. Worth £9.32 and with a matte finish it says it will last for hours to keep your lip colour in place.

Diego Dalla Palma lip pencil in the shade antique rose £9.32

There were two potential products you could get from ESPA this month and I was so pleased with the one I got! I got the Pink Hair and Scalp Mud, which is an amazing hair treatment that deep conditions. I’ve been lucky enough to have this treatment quite a while back when I had a massage and it’s a really great product.

ESPA Pink Hair and Scalp Mud

Next is a Luxie Large Shader Brush worth £15. I think I’ve mentioned a few times lately I’ve been trying to upgrade and replace some of my existing makeup brushes so this is perfect for me.

Luxie Large Shader Brush £15

Finally another item I’ve wanted to try for a long time, a Brushworks Jade Roller which is £9.99 to purchase. Jade rollers can help relieve the puffiness in your face and massage in serums, moisturisers ect. This will be fab to have a little pretend spa time with so I am looking forward to trying it out.

Brushworks Jade Roller £9.99

As a cute little extra there was also a Lookfantastic pop socket for your phone included which is always handy!

I’m really pleased with everything this month some great new beauty tools and products to try out and a nice mix of haircare, skincare and makeup.

Lookfantastic have a range of subscriptions available here . I’m currently subscribed on a monthly basis and pay £15 inc postage and packaging for my box. In each booklet included there is a sneak peek of a product for the following month and this time it’s a Lip balm from BYTerry which will be perfect for the cooler weather to avoid getting dry lips!

October’s sneak peek is a ByTerry lip balm worth £14

Would love to know what you think of this months box or if you’ve tried any of these products before.

Glossybox June 2020

Beauty around the World is this months theme with products from different countries inspiring the choices. I have a 12 month subscription with Glossybox which costs me £11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are lots of subscription plans on their website so you can choose one to suit you!

Five full sized items with everything from cleansing to skincare as well as makeup this month making it a really good selection.

Huda Beauty Life-Liner Eyeliner £18

Sneak peek from last month was this lovely Huda Beauty eyeliner. Huda Beauty is founded by Iraqi-American Huda Kattan and this range is always on point! Huda products are renowned by their staying power and this eyeliner doesn’t disappoint. It’s a dual ended eyeliner with liquid liner on one side and a pencil formula on the other.

Makeup removing cloths The Vintage Cosmetics Company £7.99 for two

These Vintage cosmetics company face cloths in zebra print are so amazingly soft! They are eco-friendly and reusable and you get two in the box. I really like these, I got a different brand last month in another box and they really make a difference to my cleansing routine making my skin feel smoother. This is a british brand who are inspired by the style of the 1950’s.

Beauty Pro Global Potato and Parsley Under Eye Mask £5.95

British brand Beauty Pro is included with these under eye masks that use potato and parsley- not ingredients I would think of for an eye mask! These claim to help reduce dark circles, depuff and hydrate. I do love a good eye mask though and one that can reduce dark shadows is always welcome!

Model Co Liquid Metal Eyeshadow £15

Model Co is an Australian brand and we had a lipstick from their range in a previous box this year. I was never really a fan of liquid eyeshadow previously but after getting a Bella Pierre one in a previous box I realised the formulas have come a long way since my teens! This is a really lovely pigmented shade with a nice sparkle. It would work really well as a base for other shadows or equally for a quick look just sweep across the whole eyelid with a nice liner.

LA Splash Eyeshadow brush set £15

Hollywood glam is all about glitz and glamour and LA Splash is a company founded in the great city! I’ve been working on getting myself better makeup brushes and these have come at a perfect time for me! They are really good quality brushes and a fab set for starting out with different eye makeup looks. I really like defining brushes for adding an eyeliner effect to my shadow so I know I’ll get a lot of use out of these. It’s amazing what difference quality brushes use in applying your makeup too .

In total this month the value of the box is £61.94. I really like this months box it’s got a great selection of products and is really good value for money! My favourites have to be the Huda liner, the brush set and the cloths. It’s always good to get things that add to your makeup collection!

Julys sneak peek is a multitasking lip and cheek balm from The Beauty Crop and promises to give you a rosy complexion. The box is tropical themed which will be a fab theme for all of us dreaming of sunnier climes!

If you got this months box what was your favourite item?

Wild thing! Glossybox May 2020

If like me you’ve been sucked into the Tiger King docuseries on Netflix you’ll know that this beauty box could have been designed with Carole Baskin in mind! There’s been lots of change during the past 7 weeks but I’m so thankful that some of the little things that can brighten your day have been able to continue like Glossybox. For May their theme is exploring your wild side, with two special edition boxes in Leopard and Zebra print and a range of makeup, haircare and skincare to try out!

If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans or one off boxes.

Stargazer Glitter Eye Pencil RRP £2

First up was the Stargazer Glitter eyeliner pencil. The colour I was sent was violet which is a really bold colour with a bit of glitter scattered in. I really wasn’t sure about this as it felt a bit like something I would have tried when I was about 12. However! I did line my eyes with it and completely changed my mind, it was a lovely colour, not as bold when applied, but blends out nicely and I think with the right eyeshadow will look really nice. I’ve also seen a few people applying theirs over black eyeliner for a subtle glitter look and I do think that’s something I will try.

Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal sheet mask RRP £3.99

So in a change to the advertised product, we were meant to get an OhK! Printed mask,my box contained a Vitamasques Bamboo Charcoal Sheet Mask. I’m guessing this might have something to do with the current pandemic situation and to be honest I don’t mind. The mask contains a detoxifying and pore tightening action to banish breakouts and eliminate excess oils according to their website.

It Is designed for stressed out skin and, lets face it, I think we’ve all experienced some stress the past 7 weeks!

I used this at the weekend and I really enjoyed it. I left it on for the full 20 mins (recommended between 10 and 20 mins to leave on) and my skin felt amazing. Usually when I use face masks like these I feel like the serum it’s coated in is dripping all over and this wasn’t , to me it was almost a gel style which meant it wasn’t sliding off all the time. Would definitely purchase this again as I think for £3.99 it’s a bargain.

Mudmasky Hair Mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo RRP £21

Next is the Mudmasky Hair mask, Scalp treatment and Miracle Shampoo to help with dry, damaged and frizzy hair. Let’s see I check all of the above ! And given that my hair hasn’t seen a hairdresser since February, I was due an appointment the day of lockdown, I was excited to try this.

I am pleased to say it doesn’t disappoint. You apply like regular shampoo, leather and then leave it on your scalp for a minute before rinsing. It contains Moroccan argan oil, Moroccan mud and claims to strengthen and repair your hair. I could really feel a difference after the treatment and as someone with a sensitive scalp due to my psoriasis I was really pleased with this product.

Steve Laurent Eyeshadow Palette RRP £31

The star product of this box, which was the sneak peek last month, is the Steve Laurent eyeshadow palette which came in a cute leopard print box. The palette is a really good mix of neutrals with nine shades in all. With mattes and shimmers I think there will be a lot of use for me from this as you can do everything from day to night looks. The shades blend out nicely and the pigment is good.

The last item is an EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint. We did get a lip balm in last months box but I really don’t mind getting another one as I use these a lot! This smells amazing and the mint is not overpowering. A nice basic to have and use regularly.

The contents of this months box are worth £64.49 , so definitely worth the monthly subscription fee! So lastly on to the sneak peek for the June box! This was pretty exciting as it’s a Huda Beauty dual ended eyeliner with a liquid liner on one side and pencil on the other. This is worth £18 and fits with the theme of beauty beyond borders so an international beauty theme. Very much looking forward to this !

June’s sneak peek

If you want to sign up to Glossybox you can visit their website http://www.glossybox.co.uk or you can use my referral link here and receive a discount of 20% on your first box.

Hope you enjoyed reading about this months box, would love to know if you’ve tried any of the products from this month !

Glossybox April 2020

In the midst of these strange times and pandemic one thing remained the same…. Glossybox!

The Blossom themed April Glossybox

Packed with 5 beauty products with a very spring like feel, this box was the perfect pick me up and definitely brought a smile to my face.

First up in the box is one of the staple items often received in Glossyboxes, a Hask Hair Mask. I really love these masks as my hair gets incredibly dry and frizzy so I go through a lot of conditioning treatments to keep it healthy. Hask is a really affordable brand, one of these masks costs £2.49, and really makes a difference to the look and feel of my hair. Plus this one smells amazing with the peach and rose!

Nails Inc polish in Blossom

I love a good nail polish, especially a pink! Nails Inc is one of my favourite brands for staying power and this formula says it will last up to 10 days. It’s a perfect pink for spring and summer and this has an RRP of £11.

SportFX lip balm in coconut scent

This lip balm reminds me of the eos balms and the coconut smell is gorgeous, kinda reminds me of being on holiday! It’s a really good moisturiser and has an SPF of 15 so perfect for offering some sun protection. This is £4.99 to purchase separately.

Avant Face Exfoliant

The sneak peek from last month was this Avant face exfoliant which retails at £92! Avant is one of my favourite brands for skincare and they have such gentle but effective products. This face exfoliating scrub contains rose and is designed to calm irritation and help improve wrinkles. I’ve really enjoyed using this so far and it’s giving me a great base for applying makeup and has really helped with my skin which has flared due to the stress of the current pandemic.

The final product in my April box was a Rituals shower scrub in a cherry blossom scent. This is perfect for me at the moment as I’m struggling as I mentioned with a flare up of my Psoriasis. Gentle scrubs like this are great for helping get rid of any flaky patches and helping my emoillent creams sink in. Rituals products are one of my favourites and I actually had the body cream in this range for Christmas. This size is deluxe mini and is priced at £4.60. The full sized product is £9.90.

Altogether the products in this box totalled £115.08 ! I have a 12 month subscription with Glossybox which costs me £11.75 per month including postage and packaging. There are lots of subscription plans on their website so you can choose one to suit you!

Next month the sneak peek is an eyeshadow palette from Steve Laurent and looks like a nice range of neutrals.

If you subscribe now you’ll be signing up for the May box while stocks last !

Glossybox March 2020 All eyes on me

The latest Glossybox has arrived and it’s a goodie with some gorgeous makeup treats to see me through the month. If you don’t know about Glossybox, it’s a beauty box subscription where you are sent 5 items each month. You can subscribe for various amounts of time or purchase a one-off box.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

First up it’s an MCo Beauty Long Lasting lipstick, we’ve had MCo products before and I really like them as a brand. The lipstick is a nude shade called Flawless with a matte finish. It’s definitely a shade I would choose and has a non drying feel which is rare for a matte formula. It’s not particularly long lasting in my opinion but I generally find that traditional lipstick never lasts as long as liquid mattes. This is worth £15 and I’d definitely purchase it again because of the colour.

Next we have Ciate London’s Stamp and Drag eyeliner. This is actually one of my favourite products from Ciate and I’ve purchased this before. The idea with this is you get a wing shaped stamp to help you with doing a perfect flick and then you can frame round the eyes with the pointed felt tip style. I’ve never been great with eyeliner and this has helped me massively. It’s really long lasting and stays Jet Black all day. This is £15 to purchase from Ciates website.

Who doesn’t love a good highlighter ? The next product is a Sleek highlighter palette in Copperplate. A beautiful mix of colours that blend nicely and aren’t heavy when applied. It’s an all powder palette and I think this will be gorgeous for spring and summer when the nicer weather starts. This is £9.99 RRP.

Also included is an Eyeko mascara which comes in a fun tube like toothpaste! The curved brush is designed to give volume and I’m looking forward to seeing what this formula is like. My go to has been the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara so I’m interested to try something new. This is a deluxe mini size and is worth £10.

Lastly a toothpaste from Whiteglo. This is probably my least favourite product in the box, it’s not particularly exciting to get a toothpaste but it will be used and as it’s mini sized is perfect for my washbag while travelling. This is again a deluxe mini and worth £1.05

In total this months box has a value of £51.04 so great value, and all of the products are something I will use. Despite the toothpaste not being my favourite item to receive in a beauty box!

The April sneak peek is an Avant Exfoliating Cleanser which I am really looking forward to. We’ve had quite a few Avant products, including primer and moisturiser in Glossybox over the past year and they are a really great skincare brand.

Glossybox February 2020

So this months box is all about lurrrve 💓 Specifically Love Crosses Borders which I really liked the idea of, with products from all around the world. Also this box was the same for subscribers in different countries so I believe Germany and the Netherlands subscribers received the same items.

The sneak peek in January’s box was of Figs and Rouges Wonder Love Charm Glow Elixir. A super shimmery product designed to give you a glow like no other! This can be applied under makeup or can be worn on natural skin for a brightening effect.

Worth £35, its packed with A, C and E vitamins, hyaluronic acid, minerals, rose water and rose quartz, hydrates your skin and gives you a glow. This is lovely mixed with your usual foundation for a subtle glow or dotted on as a highlighter after you’ve applied foundation.

There’s a lip focus in this Valentines box with a mask all the way from Korea. Korean skincare has been such a huge trend over the last year or so and I love all the different kinds of masks you get to try with Glossybox so this is a winner for me. Plus you have to keep it on for 15-20 mins which means I won’t be talking so it makes a win for Phil too! This did make my lips feel super hydrated, given it’s still cold and wintery it’s a welcome treat! This is a deluxe mini and is worth £4.25, if you buy the full size product you receive 6 masks in the box.

Next up is a duo of lip liners from American brand Saint Luxe in pink and red shades. They are billed as a luxury brand which creates long lasting, cruelty free products. The red is a strong colour and I have a few lipsticks and glosses that will work with it. The pink is a lovely soft colour which pairs perfectly with the next product in the box. These are £23 for the duo available from saint luxe beauty.com

Another American product included from Floss Beauty is this dusky pink lip gloss. It’s a semi sheer formula and mine pairs perfectly with the pink liner in my box. The packaging is really cute too and it has a pretty long lasting effect. This is £12.30 to purchase from floss it up.com

Final product in this months box is the Glossybox lip liner brush. I’ve been slowly replacing some of my older brushes for nice new ones so this is perfect for me! This is £5.10 to purchase from the Glossybox website.

There was a nice surprise for regular subscribers in the form of a perfume sample from Glossier. I really liked this, it’s very fresh and light perfect for an everyday perfume. It’s out of stock at the time of writing this and I’m keeping an eye on when it’s restocked!

In total the box is worth an amazing £79.65 making it fantastic value for money.

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk from 1-12 month plans

Would love to know if you’ve tried any of these products and what you think!

Glossybox January 2020

This month Glossybox has a theme of Sleep and Refresh aimed at getting us revitalised and take on the year ahead with some no makeup makeup essentials.

First up is a clear brow gel from Model Co whic has an RRP of £14. Not much to say about this it’s quite a nice product for when you don’t have much makeup on to set your brows in place and just make them look a bit more groomed. Likewise you could use it over a brow pencil and set the colour. Having used it a few times I quite like it, however it seems a really small tube for £14 and it is a full size which has been supplied with the box.

This Strawberry booster was the sneak peek in the December box and doesn’t disappoint. Made from (what else?) strawberry seeds and fatty acids omega 3 and 6, it’s a really nice oil to hydrate your skin. BYBI have had a lip plumper product in Glossybox before and are a brand that pride themselves on being eco-friendly, vegan and natural ingredients. I tried this directly on my face as a night serum after cleansing but you can also mix with your day cream or foundation for extra moisture as recommended. RRP for this is £12 which seems a really good price for the size of the bottle and quality of the product. It’s a dry oil, so doesn’t feel really greasy when applied and my skin feels really smooth on using it for a little over a week.

A product often included in these boxes is a face mask, I really like trying different ones and this is something I haven’t seen before. The Beauty Pro CBD Oil infused mask. Infused with cannabidiol, it’s meant to have anti-inflammatory properties and helps to reduce blemishes. I’m really excited to try this as cannabidiol is an ingredient which is growing in popularity and I want to see if it lives up to the hype! This has an RRP of £5.95 which is not bad for a sheet mask like this.

Continuing with the skincare theme is a Micro-Derm Regenerator from Context. This is an exfoliation and cleansing product to remove those dead skin cells and reveal brighter skin. I really liked this, it has a nice clean smell and is quite a gentle exfoliating cleanser. My skin definitely felt softer and refreshed. It’s also got a blend of macadamia, sunflower and jojoba oils with vitamins A, C and E to further protect your skin. The RRP for this is £6.50 as it’s a deluxe mini and not a full size product. For the full size it’s £27.

I wasn’t that thrilled by this next product if I’m honest! Tweezers are a great staple to have in your beauty kit, especially with the emphasis on eyebrows in beauty right now and they do pair with the brow gel in this months box. I think for me I’d rather have had something different but you’re not going to like every single item! These have an RRP of £15.50 and are a decent pair of tweezers.

A little additional item included in this months box was this Nakd Salted Caramel fruit and nut bar. I’ve bought these bars before (the lemon drizzle and blueberry muffin flavours are a fave) but I haven’t tried this flavour. It’s always nice to get a little extra in your box and it being January I think it’s nice it wasn’t chocolate after all of the Christmas excess! It was a really nice flavour and I’ve actually gone and purchased a full box of them for future snacking! These bars are usually 75p each or around £2 for a box of 4 in most supermarkets (mine were from Tesco).

I pay £11.75 per month for my Glossybox including shipping but there are lots of plans available on their website www.glossybox.co.uk

In total this months box was worth £54.70 which is fantastic value again from Glossybox, although I don’t think I’d have ever paid £15 for a pair of tweezers in my life!

As always I’d love to know your thoughts and if you’ve tried any of the products !

Holiday essentials

Bring on the good times!

As summer has come to a close and we start into the autumn, it felt like a great time to share some of my summer faves. I actually got away abroad this year for the first time in 3 years so it was great fun thinking of cute outfits and things to take away.

My versatile little bag from River Island

This cute little bag from River Island has served me well over the summer. The perfect size to fit the essentials and casual enough for day but dressy enough for evening. I love the hot pink colour which seemed to be a theme for me this summer!

Loved these earrings that I picked up on sale in Boots for £3!

I love a statement earring and a hoop, so this summer I made the best of both! A pop of neon colour made these the perfect go to for a relaxed look. Plus they were on sale in Boots, not somewhere I usually shop for earrings.

Hask Hair masks have been my saviour!

My hair always gets really dry and frizzy in the summer so it’s so important to me to keep it well conditioned. I love these Hask hair masks, I took 3 away on holiday to counteract the sun and chlorine and they kept my hair feeling soft and my hair colour shiny.

Loving the peachy coral tones this summer
I love peach and orange tones for summer, especially when you have a tan! NYX butter gloss is great for hot days when you need some moisture but also want a good coverage lip colour. Of course my summer essentials wouldn’t be complete without a good bronzer and TooFaced Sweetie Pie is still my number one. It’s a perfect mix of colour and shimmer without an excess of glitter like some bronzers do.

Staying peachy with TooFaced

Finally a good primer is one of my essentials to make sure my face stays in place! I am currently using Obsession Makeup’s mattifying primer which is a silicone based primer. I find these work well for my skin type and it gives a wonderfully matte finish for your foundation to work on.

Primer to keep my face in place

Do you have any great summer essentials to share?
